Logo Contest, Jobs, the Stingrays and Farmer's Market

The North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center is looking for a bold and fresh new logo, and asking for your help. A Logo Contest is underway until Friday, April 17 for three new logos, including one for the Coliseum, one for the Performing Arts Center, and a combined logo for both facilities. The results will be announced after April 20 with the winner receiving an array of prizes. For further details, visit the Coliseum’s Contests page.

With the economy in a slump throughout the nation and unemployment in South Carolina reaching 11%, jobs are becoming scarce with fierce competition surrounding those that are available. With spring in full swing, the Farmer’s Market will reopen Thursday, April 23 at Park Circle. The Farmer’s Market offers its customers convenient hours from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm in an easily accessible location with plenty of free parking within the Traffic Circle. Every week the Farmer’s Market features fresh, locally grown produce, as well as herbs, jellies, jams and other goods. WIC and EBT are accepted.
