Rail Plan Public Comments - Thursday, August 5


North Charleston City Council convened a Special Committee of the Whole Meeting on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 5:30 pm in City Council Chambers.  Public comments were heard regarding an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute a Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement between the City of North Charleston, CSX Transportation, and Shipyard Creek Associates, LLC.

  1. As a North Charleston resident who relys on CARTA for transportation, I was surprised and disappointed to see this public hearing and the one for CARTA are scheduled for the same night. I'm assuming this means the Mayor, who's on the CARTA board, won't make it to the CARTA public hearing. Kathi, author of Carfree Charleston http://carfreechas.blogspot.com/
